I love to travel, as I’m sure most people do. There is simply no feeling like packing that travel luggage and hopping on a plane for maybe 2-24 hours then landing on a brand new city’s airport, a city that you probably have been reading about all this time. Imbibing fresh cultures plus the indigent cuisines and posing for those instagrammable shots…..simply no words!
I’ll start first with my favorite, Paris. I want to watch the sunrise over Paris with my morning coffee in one hand and a camera on the other. Stare forever at the magnificent Eiffel Tower across the Seine River.
Dubai– I have been to Dubai on a layover on my trip to South Africa but there was no time to explore the city. Dubai in spite of the extreme heat is known as one of the shopping capitals of the world with a modern day concrete jungle of skyscrapers like the Burj Khalifa which is about 830m tall. Parks, ultramodern architecture and a lively night life, it’s a shop till you drop haven-my favorite things to do. For those beach bunnies there is, in spite of the terrain the Jumeirah beach and so many other fun things to do. Dubai is relatively cheap apart from alcoholic beverages which tends to be more expensive compared to other cities.

Phucket, Thailand– A country famous for its numerous beaches and tourist attractions and Phuket is one of the biggest islands. This island offers a wide range of activities from cultural theme parks to James Bond Island tours to rafting, snorkeling. I love beaches where I can sun myself with a glass of refreshing drink and my kindle by my side, so this island among others is a total must see for me.
Venice, Italy-The city of twisting canals with gondolas plying the water ways. I first formed my love for Venice while reading Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice. I want to take a ride on one of the gondolas on the Grand Canal, visit the Saint Mark’s Basilica tiled with Byzantine mosaics, the bell tower with red roofs all over the city. Apart from this Venice also has landmarks, nature parks, concert and shows (operas), boat tours, water sports and outdoor activities that will give me my money’s worth and a memorable time.
Alona Beach, The Phillipines-Has more than 7000 islands. Lovely beaches with places for scuba diving, snorkeling, nightlife, parasailing, kayaking, all forms of water sports . It’s reputed to be cheap where one can enjoy the finer things of life without breaking the bank.
Abu Dhabi– A city with modern skylines with mega shopping centers like the Marina Malls. The Grand Mosque features crystal chandeliers, immense Persian carpets with a capacity for 41,000 worshipers, which is a must see. The Yas Island has water parks, ferrari world and other shopping centers.

So there you have it, five favorite cities I’ll love to visit. Please drop by and leave a comment and let me know those places you’ll love to visit. Thank you!

It’s crowded, yes. All I want is just one night in that city.
